Q. Is your society a Government registered ?
A. Yes, it is registered under West Bengal Societies Registration Act XXVI, 1961. The registration no. is S/2L/23272 of 2014-2015
Q. Whether your Club has FIAP recognition ?
A. We are corporate member of Federation of Indian Photography, the national body of FIAP. Our membership no. is CM808

Q. I wish to be a member of your society. What is the procedure ?
A. It is very simple. You should apply in a plain paper addressing to “The Secretary, Photographic society of Murshidabad” mentioning the reason/interest for joining to the society. You will be notified accordingly, if approved by the society, later on for submission of the filled-in membership form along with the prescribed fees
Q. What types of memberships are available for me ?
A. There are two types of memberships available right now.
- General member and
- Associate member
Q. What is the membership tariff ?
A. The annual membership subscription fee is
- For General member – Rs. 500/- per annum and
- For Associate member – FREE.
However, Registration fee of Rs. 500/- is to be paid for new member at the time of joining to the society.
Q. Is there any difference between general member and associate member ?
A. There is hardly any difference except that associate member does not have any voting rights.

Q. Is your Certificate Course in Photography a Government recognised ?
A. No. However, it is a collaborative program with Photographic Association of Dum Dum, Kolkata, the body involved in imparting photography education for the last 50 years.
Q. What is the admission procedure ?
A. The admission to the course is on first-cum first-serve basis subject to fulfilling the admission criteria. So, please follow our advertisement in the month of July. However, at present the course has been put on hold due to reasons beyond our control.
