Free Certificate Course in Photography
The society introduces certificate course in photography in collaboration with Photographic Association of Dum Dum, a Kolkata based premier organisation imparting Photographic Education free of cost since 1957 and with generous support of the school authority of Khagra Gurudas Tarasundari Institution, Berhampore. This course is framed in such a manner and also in consultation with Photographic Association of Dum Dum, Kolkata that it can explore the artistic aspects, scientific foundations, and techniques of digital photography with the goals of enabling students to expand their knowledge of photography as an art form, to develop a deeper and broader understanding of the scientific basis of photography, to improve their photographic technique, and to effectively use photographic software tools.
Upon successful completion of the course, students can expect to take photographs with an intuition of the camera’s behavior, and its limitations, and an ability to think critically about light and the resulting appearance of a photograph.
The course has started with the blessings and good wishes of the renowned personalities.

Course Particulars
- ADMISSION : April – May of the calender year.
- DURATION : June – March spanning 10 (ten) months consisting of Class-room & Photo outing classes
- TIME : Every Sunday Class-room from 11 AM to 1 PM & Photo Outing at 7am.
- VENUE : Khagra Gurudas Tarasundari Institution (first floor), Berhampore.
- ELIGIBILITY : HS (10 + 2 Level) or equivalent passed and aged 18 years & above.
- NO. OF SEATS : 30 (thirty), which are to be allotted on first come first serve basis.

- MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION : Bengali.
- EVALUATIONS : MID-TERM EXAMINATION :- Theoretical Examination (Seen) – 100 marks AND Home Assignment – 100 marks.
FINAL EXAMINATION :- Theoretical Examination (Seen) – 100 marks, Home Assignment – 100 marks, Practical & Viva-voce – 100 marks. - COMPLETION CERTIFICATE : The society will issue course completion certificate, signed by both Photographic Society of Murshidabad & Photographic Association of Dum Dum, to those who satisfy the minimum requirements of passing the examination

Documents required
Photo copy of 1) Photo ID proof, 2) Address proof, 3) Last Examination pass certificate and 4) one stamp size recent colour photograph & same of soft copy.
Course Fee
There is no course fee for this 2023-2024 batch. However, intending candidate has to pay Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand) only at the time of admission for the following purposes.
Registration charges (non-refundable) – Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand) only
Security Deposit (refundable) – Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand) only
Total – Rs. 2000/- (Rupees two Thousand) only
The Security Deposit will be refunded after successful completion of the course. There is no hidden cost. However, the cost of study materials and other personal expenses, for the completion of the course shall be borne by the students.
