Partha Sarathi Dhar spent his joyful childhood with the smell of developer and Hypo solution and played with the Black paper roll and spool of Roll Film instead of toys. As he is a son of renowned photo-artist Raj Ballav Dhar, Founder of Photographic Society of Murshidabad, Berhampore, Murshidabad
Started Serious Photography in 1986 under the guidance his Father, and Legendary Photo Artist Mr. BENU SEN Specially working with Portrait, Fine Art Photography and Pictorial Photography.
He achieved many National and international awards several FIAP GOLD, PSA GOLD and others, more than 100 in numbers.
Got Distinction and Honors AFIP in 2006, F.FIP in 2007, AIIPC in 2010, AFIAP in 2012 and EFIAP in 2016 and more Hon.FICS, ES.CPE, A.CPE, Hon.CPE, GPA.PESGSPC, HON.PESGSPC till date.
He acted as a Jury member in the Judges Panel in National and International Competition and Salon. He also tried to promote Photographic Art by organizing Workshop.
He is now the Vice-president of Photographic Society of Murshidabad.
